My orthodontist sent me last Thursday to have my last baby tooth pulled. He said that the permanent tooth's roots were forming and if I didn't get my tooth pulled soon, then he was afraid that my permanent tooth would never come in. =) Now...I have no more baby teeth.
My sixteenth birthday is in 9 days! I need to study for my permit..... Everyone, have a great week!

A Trip to the Dentist
Today was my dentist cleaning appointment. Well they called me back as normal, and the nice hygenist, Heather started cleaning my teeth. She used that instrument that has the little sharp end on it. She scraped my teeth for forever, and then polished them with stuff that left sand in my m0uth. Okay, it really wasn't sand, but it felt like it! haha
My mom wanted to talk to Dr. Gary about my teeth, so they called her back from the waiting room. My mom explained to him what my orthodontist had said about my baby tooth...Yes, I have a baby tooth and I am almost sixteen... So, Dr. Gary decided to take an x-ray of my mouth. He said that that the adult tooth HAD come up some since last year's x- ray, but it could be quite a while until it came up. I had already told my hygenist about how that my orthodontist had told me, it could be up until a year until my baby tooth was even loose. And she replied, "Yeah, I could see that..." Anyways, so Dr. Gary also checked my bite. He said I had an open bite. I'm not sure what that means.. Maybe it has something to do with an over bite.
I have two twelve year molars that have came in, and two that are now coming in. Lately, I have not been able to chew on the right side because it hurts really bad. Dr. Gary said today that I have erupted gum tissue over my molar because my mandabile hasn't grown enough!! So, I have this really weird looking gum over top of my molar. I don't know why I'm even writing about all this. I'm sure it's not too interesting.
Well, see I had braces put on my top teeth when I was nine. My teeth were very crooked and I had a bad over bite, and they said if I fell or something, I could break my teeth. So they said it was phase one, and that I'd have to have braces on again. Well I was hoping that I wouldn't have them again, but it looks rather like I am going to have to have them again. However, they can't put them on until I lose my baby tooth and get my twelve year molars in. But, I am very grateful that I am fortunate enough to be able to have braces put on again if I have to have them.
I also have four wisdom teeth that haven't came in yet. My orthodontist told my mom that I have four "evil" wisdom teeth. What an interesting way to describe it! They can't remove them until I get my twelve year molars in. lol
My dentist told me at the end of my visit, "Well, I agree with your orthodontist. We'll just have to wait...." So, I'll just be waiting for my twelve year molars to come in, and for my adult tooth to come up and my baby tooth to loosen. While I am waiting, I'll just continue to smile. =) Smiling is my favorite!
